Meet Dawn Wilson
As an artist, I wanted to start a business that sold items out of recycled, repurposed, and reused materials. In 2006 Creatively anew germinated, selling artwork to inspire and help the world ecologically. Although the passion was there it wasn’t a sustainable way of life for my family.
So in 2010 I began my second career as a Graphic Communications teacher incorporating many of the ideas I had into projects for my students. Already having my Bachelor Degree in Fine Art, I was able to obtain my Masters of Occupational Education. Teaching young people has given me such a fertile ground for mutual inspiration. Through my journey as a teacher, Creatively anew was resurrected to include art, design, and healing. There are many facets to my life, therefore, Creatively anew has them as well.
In 2018 I rented a studio in the Manchaug Mills, south of Worcester, MA, and it became an official business. I have been building the Creatively anew brand through my art while facilitating healing and expressing myself. Through art comes healing, connecting, and inspiring others.
In 2021 Creatively anew has expanded into a family business. Partnering with like-minded people I am able to spread positivity to more people, especially teens, through creativity, education, and my commitment to well-being. This summer with the launch of my new book “Who Am I? – A teen’s creative guide to adulting” a new chapter to the Creatively anew story will begin. I am excited for all the opportunities to connect with other people, and sharing my story of how I arrived at this point in my life.
Finding a voice, expressing life, and incorporating art to inspire and empower others, is key for me to move forward and to grow. This is the driving force behind Creatively anew!
